Taste of Crete Participating in Spring Spectacular at Fortunoff

(PRWEB) May 11, 2006 -- Fortunoff is having their Spring Spectacular Series of Events from April 22- May 21st.

Esther Luongo Psarakis, the founder of Taste of Crete (www.tastetofcrete.com) will conduct an olive oil tasting and will be demonstrating recipes based on the healthy diet of Crete, one of the healthiest versions of the Mediterranean diet. Fortunoff customers will have the opportunity to sample these recipes along with their award winning extra virgin olive oil, array of Greek Honeys, Evangelia’s Traditional Greek Cookies, and dark chocolate truffles on May 13th from 1-4pm at their Woodbridge, New Jersey location. It is a perfect opportunity to find a unique gift for Mother’s Day.

Ms. Psarakis started Taste of Crete because of a personal passion for its food, people, history and culture. A non-Greek, she married into a large Greek family and her yearly journeys back to the family farm inspired her to start Taste of Crete.

“We are very pleased to be part of Fortunoff’s Spring Spectacular since it will give customers a chance to try our products and give us the opportunity to share a bit about Crete, its healthy diet and culture.”, states Ms. Psarakis. “I have always loved cooking, and enjoy sharing my love of foods from Crete, Greece. I married into this great culture and its healthy culinary traditions.”

Taste of Crete has been in business since November 2004. Ms. Psarakis was the 2005 Success Award Winner for the Small Business Development Center of Somerset/Hunterdon Counties, which is based at Raritan Valley Community College.

Her products are packaged and shipped out by The Adult Services Division of The Midland School based in North Branch. More information on Taste of Crete can be found at www.tasteofcrete.com.
